McMaster Ace Joins Cardinals Staff
The Hamilton Cardinals, members of the Intercounty Baseball League (IBL) are pleased to announce the signing of McMaster Right Handed pitcher Julian Tymochko for the 2020 season.
Tymochko joins the Cardinals after a dominate year in OUA baseball going 3-0 with 29 strikeouts in 21 innings. He had an ERA of 1.71 while also hitting .250 (5-20) with a homerun and 8 runs batted in. This will be his first year in the IBL after playing his Junior Baseball in Etobicoke.
"Considering I go to school at McMaster, playing in Hamilton seemed like the perfect fit. I'm looking forward to helping the team build from last year's strong performance" stated Tymochko
Cardinals GM Jeff Lounsbury states " having a good relationship with McMaster is a goal of ours. McMasters Head Coach Adam Strongman is a Cardinals alumnus and this is a great opportunity for Marauder players to play at the highest level possible, while also giving us a nice pipeline of talented players. In fact, another current Marauder will be joining the team shortly."
The Hamilton Cardinals are a member of Ontario's most elite baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
