Hamilton Cardinals Name Team Massage Therapist and Chiropractor

The Hamilton Cardinals are excited to announce significant enhancements to our athletic support system with the addition of Patrick Power of Power Athletic Massage as Team Massage Therapist and Dr. Brittany Boot as the Team Chiropractor. These new partnerships, under the guidance of Head Athletic Therapist Carlo Cardelli, are set to elevate the Cardinals' performance and wellbeing through specialized care and preventative therapy.

Patrick Power, a Registered Massage Therapist based in Stoney Creek, Ontario, brings a unique blend of personal athletic experience and professional expertise to the Cardinals. With an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology from Lakehead University and a background as a Registered Kinesiologist, Patrick's journey into massage therapy was fueled by his own sports injuries and the subsequent rehabilitation process. His transition to massage therapy, after graduating from the Advanced Standing Massage Therapy Program at Ontario College of Health & Technology in 2019, allowed him to merge his passion for health and wellness with a hands-on approach to client care. In addition to supporting the Cardinals, Patrick owns Power Athletic Massage in Stoney Creek. Power Athletic Massage provides a range of services tailored to athletes' needs, including relaxation massage, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization and various other modalities designed to enhance recovery and performance.

Dr. Brittany Boot joins the Cardinals with a rich background in sports injury management and preventative therapy. With a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Dalhousie University and a chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, Dr. Boot completed her Sports Sciences Residency through the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences (Canada). Her extensive training includes Functional Integrated Acupuncture, soft tissue release therapy, instrument-assisted soft tissue therapy, sports nutrition, sports psychology, and concussion assessment and management. Dr. Boot's experience with the Ontario Junior Hockey League and her role in international competitions such as the World Jr. A Championship with Team Canada East underlines her commitment to athlete care and performance.

The Hamilton Cardinals are enthusiastic about the breadth of knowledge and specialized skills Patrick Power and Dr. Brittany Boot bring to our team. Working alongside Head Athletic Therapist Carlo Cardelli, their integration into our athletic support system promises a comprehensive approach to player health, recovery, and injury prevention, ensuring our athletes are in prime condition for peak performance.

Welcome to the team, Patrick Power and Dr. Brittany Boot!
