Grant Arnold sends Open Letter to Hamilton

Dear Cardinal Nation,

As spring time comes around I can’t help but think of you! For the first summer in my life I won’t be lacing up the cleats. I just wanted to take a minute to thank you for the last two seasons!

To the ownership and management, I can’t thank you guys enough for taking a chance on a small town Kansas kid. Not only did you make Canada feel like home, but you gave me some of my most fondest memories playing the game I love. You do things the right way, and I am so excited to see where the future of this organization is headed!

To my teammates and coaches, You guys will forever be family to me. To me this is what makes the Hamilton Cardinals so special. When you’re playing with guys who deep down want to see you succeed as bad as you do yourself, something special happens. We’ve turned this thing around the last two years and I can only hope that it’ll progress like I think it will. I’m going to miss you all so much!

To the fans, you are a huge part of why playing at Bernie Arbor stadium is so fun! I ask that you continue to support these guys as they are going to give you everything they got every night. I can’t think of a more deserving fan base that deserves an IBL championship! Again, I’m going to miss you guys so much!

As for me, I’ll be working in the realms of the adult world as a Territory Account Manger for Hill’s Pet Nutrition. While this is far from the ball field, I get to enjoy my passion of improving certain animal’s quality of life and helping veterinarians with issues they face daily in regards to certain pets nutrition.

With that being said, I wish you guys the best of luck this season! I will definitely be up for a weekend of games. Just going to be at a different point of view this time, but it’s always a great day to be a Cardinal!

Love,

Grant Arnold #3

"Grant Arnold has left the Cardinals a better team and a better place then before he came. He was my first Import signing when I took over as GM of the Hamilton Cardinals and it was the beginning of a big turnaround for the franchise. I will be forever grateful to this young man for all his hard work and dedication to the team and city, he will be missed. Good luck G in your future endeavours." GM Jeff Lounsbury
