Duncan does it all for Cardinals in win over Barrie
BARRIE – Tyler Duncan homered and drove in five to lead Hamilton to an 11-1 win in Barrie Thursday night.
Duncan also singled twice and scored twice as the Cards moved to 4-2. Zach Marriott went 3-for-5 with two RBI, Luis Bernardo drove in a run on two hits, Danny Berg singled twice and scored three times and Tanner Rempel had two hits and one of four Cards’ stolen bases.
Takaki Eguchi earned his league-leading third win of the season after yielding a run on four hits over five frames. He struck out four and walked three. Connor Cory picked up his first save with three scoreless innings of relief. He fanned five and walked one.
Noah Hull was credited with the lone RBI for the Baycats (4-2). Malik Williams singled and scored in the second inning to briefly put Barrie ahead.
