Cardinals win 14-5 and pick up the series victory vs Toronto

The Hamilton Cardinals hit three Jagerbomb home runs in a high-scoring game, winning 14-5 in the series finale between the two teams. 

Hamilton got off to a strong start, scoring four runs in the first inning to set the tone for the game. Toronto managed to score two runs in the top of the first inning, but Hamilton's offense proved to be too much to handle. The Cardinals extended their lead in the fifth inning, scoring four more runs to make it 8-3.

The Maple Leafs fought back with two runs in the top of the fifth, but Hamilton responded with two runs of their own in the bottom of the inning. The Cardinals continued their offensive onslaught in the sixth inning, scoring two more runs to further distance themselves from the Maple Leafs.

Toronto struggled to keep up with Hamilton's offensive firepower, managing only one run in the fourth and two runs in the fifth. Despite their efforts, the Maple Leafs were unable to mount a comeback as the Cardinals' pitching and defense held strong.

Colby Ring of the Hamilton Cardinals was credited with the win, delivering a solid performance on the mound. Julian Valdez took the loss for the Toronto Maple Leafs, giving up eight runs in five innings of work.

Offensively, the Cardinals had an impressive showing with 15 hits and 14 runs. Bryan Rivera stood out for Hamilton, going 3-for-5 with three runs scored. Clayton Keyes and Luis Bernardo also contributed to the team's success, each recording three hits and multiple RBIs.

The Maple Leafs struggled to generate offense, mustering only eight hits and five runs. Vinicio and Marra had solid performances for Toronto, with Vinicio going 2-for-4 with a run scored, and Marra adding a hit and an RBI.

Hamilton's pitching staff, led by Ring and relief pitcher Derek McLaughlin, was able to limit the damage and shut down Toronto's offense for most of the game.

With the win, the Hamilton Cardinals improved their record to 6-4-0, while the Toronto Maple Leafs dropped to 7-4-0. The Cardinals showcased their offensive prowess and strong pitching, giving them the upper hand in this matchup. The Maple Leafs will look to bounce back in their next game and make adjustments to their game plan.

The Cardinals head to Brantford for a matchup on Saturday night and then return home for a Sunday matinee matchup vs Welland Jackfish.
