Cardinals Snap Losing Streak
Justin Gideon and Tristan Osika each collected four hits, three RBI and two runs to help the Hamilton Cardinals snap a four-game losing skid with a 14-5 win Thursday night at Kitchener's Jack Couch Park.
Gideon hit two home runs and Osika went deep once as Hamilton (8-10) pounded out 15 hits against five Panthers pitchers.
Josh Niles went 3-for-5 with five RBI and three runs, while Laine Renaud drove in the other run.
Also joining the hit parade was Tristan Osika who had four hits, three RBIs, a pair of runs and collected a round tripper to open the game.
Gabe Braun struck out six over six innings for his first win. He scattered five hits, allowing a run and walking two. Rashil Bhat earned his first save, giving up four runs on six hits with two walks and a strikeout.
For Kitchener (10-4), Stephen Whalen had three hits and scored twice. Jett Jarvis, Christian Hauck, Blake Jacklin, Nick Parsons and Noah Murciano all had a hit and an RBI.
Adam Robertson (1-2) was touched for eight runs (four earned) on nine hits in 3.2 innings. He didn't register a walk or strikeout.
