Cardinals sign right-handed pitcher Callum Blue

Hamilton, Ontario – The Hamilton Cardinals are excited to announce the signing of right-handed pitcher Callum Blue to one of the junior roster spots for the upcoming Intercounty Baseball League (IBL) season. This addition continues the Cardinals' commitment to utilizing the Jr age spots for players to get experience at both the IBL level and with the Jr. Cardinals.

Callum, a native of Oakville, Ontario, brings a promising blend of height and skill to the Cardinals. Callum has developed his game with the Oakville A's, where he showcased his potential and dedication to the game.

“Callum is another quality junior-aged player with a bright future that we envision in our long-term plans,” said George Halim, Hamilton Cardinals General Manager. “He’s got a chance to two-way, so he’ll pitch for us while the bat develops in Junior before slowly integrating both components to the IBL.”

Currently, Callum is attending and playing baseball at Humber College. During the 2023 fall season, he logged 8.2 innings with a ERA of 4.04.

The Cardinals first home game is on Friday May 17th at 7:30pm against the Guelph Royals. Tickets are now available at CardinalsTickets.ca and the game will be available live on Cable14Now.com.
