Cardinals sign pitcher Casey Bouillere-Howard

Hamilton, Ontario – The Hamilton Cardinals are excited to announce the latest addition to their roster, right-handed pitcher Casey Bouillere-Howard.

Bouillere-Howard, a native of Brantford, Ontario, began his Collegiate career in 2011 with Roane State Community College in Harriman, Tennessee and eventually ended up with Missouri Baptist University. His IBL career began in 2017 with the Burlington Herd and then the eventual Welland Jackfish. In total, he has logged 189 IBL innings, predominantly in a relief role.

In 2019, Bouillere-Howard emerged as a key figure in the Jackfish bullpen, making 22 appearances, securing 22 strikeouts, and earning 4 saves, all while maintaining a commendable 3.64 ERA.

“Casey is another veteran bullpen arm with almost 200 innings in the league – you don’t find that experience everywhere,” said George Halim, Hamilton Cardinals General Manager. “His role with the club is contingent on performance, but he’ll be given an opportunity to show us he belongs here long-term.”

Last season with the Jackfish, Bouillere-Howard took the mound in 12 games, posting a 5.68 ERA and tallying 9 strikeouts across 12 innings. His performance was particularly noteworthy during Welland's playoff campaign, where he delivered flawless ERA figures in 3 appearances and notched 3 strikeouts.

The Cardinals first home game is on Friday May 17th at 7:30pm against the Guelph Royals. Tickets are now available at CardinalsTickets.ca and the game will be available live on Cable14Now.com.
