Cardinals Sign Import Pitcher Takaki Eguchi

HAMILTON - The Hamilton Cardinals are excited to announce the signing of import pitcher Takaki Eguchi.

Eguchi is a 26 year old right-handed pitcher that hails from Fukuoka Prefecture in Japan. Eguchi is coming to the Cardinals following a successful 2023 season with the Miyazaki Sunshines, a team in the Japanese Independent League. In the previous season, he pitched a total of 64 innings, achieving 50 strikeouts, and maintaining an impressive ERA of 3.40.

“I’ve had my eye on Tak for a long time, so when there was an opportunity to sign him, it was a no-brainer,” said George Halim, Hamilton Cardinals General Manager. “He’s got rotation stuff from different slots that should make hitters uncomfortable from the jump.”
