Cardinals Sign Fox-Pappas

The Hamilton Cardinals are pleased to announce the signing of 1B/DH Robin Fox-Pappas (Toronto, On). The 6’4, 225 lbs. right-handed hitter comes to Hamilton after playing many seasons with the Etobicoke Rangers COBA team. Fox-Pappas graduated from George Brown College in 2018-19 where he hit .395 (17-43) in his final season. Fox-Pappas also spent one summer playing in Europe.

“I think for the last 6 years I have sent Robin an email asking him if he wanted to give IBL baseball a shot, and this year the timing worked with Robin to come to Hamilton. He has power and plate discipline, and good hands defensively. It might take some time to adjust to IBL pitching, but his swing is quiet and he has good balance. I look forward to seeing him play at this level. He gives us depth at the 1B/DH and a bat off the bench which is something we were missing back in 2021.” GM Jeff Lounsbury

Upon signing Fox-Pappas stated, “I’m grateful for the opportunity to play in the IBL. I am excited to get to work with the club. Hamilton has taken some solid strides in the last few seasons and I look forward to contributing to more success this summer”

The Hamilton Cardinals Baseball Club is a member of Canada's best league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The over 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, established in 1919.
