Cardinals re-sign left-handed-pitcher Colby Ring
HAMILTON - The Hamilton Cardinals are excited to announce the re-signing of pitcher Colby Ring for the 2024 season.
Colby Ring, 24, is a left-handed pitcher who made his IBL debut with the Cardinals in 2023. The Langley, British Columbia native was relied upon heavily by the Cardinals last season as he led the team with 59 innings pitched. Ring joined the Cardinals after attending the University of Antelope Valley, where he played for three seasons and appeared in 31 games. Ring totaled 113 strikeouts in 109 innings pitched in College.
Before attending the University of Antelope Valley, Ring played for Johnson County Community College. Ring also played for the Kamloops NorthPaws in 2022, where he continued to showcase his talent in 38 innings pitched where he had 34 strikeouts.
“Colby pitched a lot between senior year and the Cardinals last year,” said George Halim, Hamilton Cardinals General Manager. “He’s a quality arm that hasn’t ever had a break, so we expect him to come out and be fresher than he’s ever been.”
The Cardinals first home game is on Friday May 17th at 7:30pm against the Guelph Royals. Tickets are now available at CardinalsTickets.ca and the game will be available live on Cable 14Now.com.
