Cardinals hold on to 8-7 victory vs London

With Hamilton Pro Wrestling in attendance, the main event was a pitching duel between Owen Boon and Logan Walters as the two aces faced off in a misty and foggy Bernie Arbour Stadium.

The Cardinals jumped ahead with three runs in the first inning off a Tyler Duncan home run. The Majors fought back in the second inning, scoring two runs to narrow the gap. However, the Cardinals' pitching tightened up, preventing the Majors from adding any more runs until late in the game.

Throughout the game, there were notable offensive performances from several players. For the Majors, Miller had a fantastic day at the plate, going 3-for-5 with a home run and an RBI. Williams also contributed with two hits, including a home run, and two RBIs. McGee had a standout performance, going 3-for-4 with two RBIs.

On the Cardinals' side, Keyes was the star of the game, going 2-for-5 with a double and four RBIs. Duncan also had a strong showing, going 3-for-5 with a home run and four RBIs. Towers added three hits and scored two runs.

Pitching played a crucial role in this game, with both teams relying on their elite arms to keep the opposing offenses in check. For the Majors, Boon took the mound and pitched a solid seven innings, allowing five runs (four earned) while striking out eight. Ferrington relieved Boon but struggled, giving up three runs in just one inning of work.

On the Cardinals' side, Walters started the game and pitched six innings, surrendering only two runs (one earned) and striking out seven. McLaughlin, Strecker, and Peters combined to close out the game, holding off the Majors' late comeback attempts.

The winning pitcher for the game was McLaughlin, while Boon took the loss for the Majors.
