CARDINALS ADD IMPORT RHP LOGAN WALTERS

HAMILTON - The Hamilton Cardinals are excited to announce the signing of right-handed pitcher Logan Walters for the upcoming 2023 season.

Walters, 25, born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, is an alumnus of Southeastern where he was a member of the school’s baseball team. The right-hander logged 40.2 IP in 2022 with the Fire, amassing 62 strikeouts to just 11 walks and a 7-0 record. Walters' biggest performance of the 2022 Season saw him striking out 14 batters in a six-inning win vs St. Francis (ILL).

“Logan is everything I’m looking for in a front-end, blue-collar arm,” said George Halim, Hamilton Cardinals General Manager. “He competes with his breaking ball. If he can earn his stripes on the inner half, Walters could be an All-Star in this league if he wanted, in my opinion.”

Walters previously pitched for the Memphis Tigers (NCAA D1), along with the Glacier Range Riders (Pioneer League) and the Purcellville Cannons (Valley Baseball League).
