Broadcast Team Announces For Cardinals 2021 Home Games
The Hamilton Cardinals are pleased to introduce their broadcast team for the 2021 Intercounty Baseball League season.
Just a few days after announcing that Skyway Broadcast would be producing and broadcasting the 2021 home games for the Cardinals, general manager Jeff Lounsbury has announced Harvey Sahker and Sam MacBeath as the team’s broadcast crew.
Harvey Sahker was the first internet radio voice of the Cardinals, back in 2019. Over the years he has fulfilled many other baseball-related roles, both off and on the field: writer, press officer, player procurer, coach, umpire, and player.
A retired Information Technology professional, Harvey saw his first Intercounty game in 1972, just a couple of months before starting grade six.
‘I am looking forward to coming back to Bernie Arbour Stadium and working with Sam,’ Harvey said. ‘It will be great to see the Cardinals playing ball again.’”
Sam MacBeath comes to the Cardinals with a strong sports broadcast background. Sam has broadcast football for the OFSSAA Metro Bowls doing 6 games in one day plus was the lead voice for The Alliston Hornets in 2009.
This along with his calling of MMA and Women's Basketball for McMaster University as Play-by-Play man gives him a strong pedigree with live sports. Sam comes to The Cards as the current host of Shakespeare in The Afternoon, a country music show and as lead voice for The SCP Patriots of the Northern Football conference.
“Both Harvey and Sam bring years of experience to the booth. They also bring passion and knowledge for the sport of baseball and are both local guys who have been giving back to the community for years,” said Lounsbury. “These are just really nice guys, and we are so lucky to have them join the Cardinal organization.”
Games will be broadcast on the Hamilton Cardinals YouTube page which can be found by clicking here.
