Hamilton's Ninth-Inning Surge Secures Win Over London

LONDON – Hamilton scored twice in the top of the ninth inning and hung on for a 4-3 win Sunday in London.

Tyler Duncan tied the game with a RBI single, his third hit of the game, and Josh Niles gave Hamilton the lead with a two-out sacrifice fly after hitting two singles earlier. Casey Bouillere-Howard pitched a clean ninth to preserve the win.

Stephen Whalen went 2-for-2 with an RBI, and Luis Bernardo singled three times.

Cory Connor (1-1) earned the win in relief after working around a hit and two walks in the bottom of the eighth. Starting pitcher Corben Peters went 5.1 innings and allowed two runs on four hits with five strikeouts.

For London (22-15), Eduardo De Oleo singled, doubled and drove in a run. Cleveland Brownlee and Byron Reichstein had an RBI apiece. Andrew Lawrence had two hits.

Victor Payano (5-4) gave up two runs on three hits over two innings to take the loss. He walked two and struck out two. Jose Arias went the first seven innings and allowed two runs (one earned) on eight hits with four walks and five strikeouts.
