Hamilton Cardinals Re-Sign Corben Peters

The Hamilton Cardinals are excited to announce the return of pitcher Corben Peters for the 2025 season.

Peters originally from Ottawa, ON attended Grambling State University (NCAA D1) for his collegiate career. Following his collegiate career, Peters joined the Cardinals in 2022 and has been in both a starter and reliever role to help the team in whatever role is needed. In 2024, Peters appeared in 15 games, pitching 25.2 innings with a solid 4.15 ERA and recording 29 strikeouts.

Peters, a hard-throwing right-hander, has amassed a 6-4 record with a 4.14 ERA over 47 appearances, including 11 starts, tallying 115 strikeouts across 95.2 innings in his IBL career.

Off the field, Peters is deeply involved in the Hamilton community. He promotes baseball and the Cardinals through youth pitching clinics and one-on-one lessons at the team’s official indoor training facility, StrikeZone in Burlington.

“Corben’s versatility on the mound has been a tremendous asset for us,” said Cardinals Owner Eric Spearin. “We’ve seen glimpses of his killer instinct, particularly in the playoffs a couple of years ago, and we’re looking forward to him bringing that same intensity to every game in 2025 as we strive to reach the next level.”

The Hamilton Cardinals will kick off their 2025 season at home on Friday, May 16, against the Brantford Red Sox. Season tickets are available now at CardinalsTickets.ca.
